 Louise Ellen Wolfe, 70, of  Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Friday, January 27, 2017, at  Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, PA.

 
Born Saturday, May 11, 1946 in Chebanse, IL, she was the daughter of the late Henry Wolfe and the late Gertrude (McNamara) Wolfe. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell French Williams, II in 2016. 
 
Louise graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in education. Louise did extensive volunteer work with the Peace Corp, including teaching English in Ghana for many years. Louise grew up in the Lutheran faith, but was a current member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Louise was a human rights activist in many areas and was a member of NAAFA, she also was involved with the Fat Lip Theatre and Toastmasters.
 
She is survived by her daughter, Lydia L. Wolfe & fiancé Justin Cave of Hagerstown, MD; two step daughters, Loretta C.F. Williams of Funkstown, MD and Vicky M. Campanelli of Hagerstown, MD; step sons; Jody Williams of Arlington, VA and Ryan Williams of  GA; sister, Helen Heppe & husband Norman of Bourbonnais, IL; brother, William "Bill" Wolfe & wife Judy of Evans, GA; and numerous other relatives.
 
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane Wolfe.
 
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at 11:00 am, at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 802 Summit Avenue Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. Randall S. Reid officiating.
 
Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
 
Interment will be private.
 
Memorial donations may be made to the John R. Marsh Cancer Center 11110 Medical Campus Rd., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
